Autumn semester is not busy than Spring semester. My favorite class is
sociology. It's interesting for me. I learned Durkheim' oponion. He thinks
that crimes is normality. When I head that, I was surprised. For example, a
utopia is dangerous situation because a utopia isn't classified right and
wrong. I heard about it, I understood.
I took a seminar in Japanese ceramic works. My university is Iwami region.
There are Iwami-yaki in this area. We are going to do fieldwork in this
Thursday. We will go to a reconstruction of local industry center and Sekisyu
Shimada-gama. Sekisyu Shimada-gama is a pottety. It was founded in 1935. It
was a pottety made up mainly of watar jags. Second potter made big dishse, big
jags or daily necessities. Third potter makes large ceramic(ex. umbrella
stands), household suppoies(ex. teacups and rice bowl) and so on. The clay is
close, an acid-resistant and hard. I studied about these from some books
myself. So I'm interested in Iwami-yaki. I am looking forward to going there.
I want to question about traditional technique, "Shinodukuri".
Last week, I distributed Hamadian. It's a magazine of Hamada. I gathered
material and edited about school festival. School festival is called Kaiyusai
at Kendai. I was so busy in Kaiyusai, but it was fun!
My hometown is Matsue, Shimane. There is Shinjiko. It's a lake. When I was
a child, I fished gobies with my family. But I don't fish recently. In Hamada
has a fishing port. I want to fish with my friend. In Hamada is very popular
traditional skill. It's Iwami-kagura. It's sacred music and dancing performed
at shrines. This August, I have watched Iwami-kagura for the first time. It
was Iwami-kagura of Kendai students. I want to watch it resident of Hamada
someday.
I live in a dormitory. Somenight, I watch a DVD or talk with my dormitory
students. Lastnight, I talked about our new address with them. We can live
this dormitory only one year. So we have to move next year.
I have a part time job. I help Kendai teacher's study. We help study of
rivers surroudings. We did a field study twice in Hiroshima. Hiroshima's
rivers are so long. We were walking along some long rivers. I learned many
things from Kendai teacher and some students of experience in this field. What
is called "Senpai" in Japanese.
Last weekend, I read a book. About how to tell audience. I'm not good at
telling people. So I want to be good at. In the end of the month, I have a
chance a presentation. I am going to presen about volunteer. I don't decide
what I tell audience yet. It's difficult, but I want to be good speaker. Wish
good luck!
I went to Oda City of church last Sunday. And I met my parents and my
uncle. In the afternoon, I ate lunch together. I had a good time!
Hello, Haruka! I also find sociology very interesting. Iwami-yaki sounds fun! I went fishing a few times when I was little, but I have not tried recently. I live in a dorm too. This is the last year I have to live in one and then I can move off campus. I am looking forward to having an apartment instead of a dorm room. I am bad at public speaking too but it is not that bad if you are well prepared. Good luck with your speech! I'm sure you will do well!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kaitlin! I write a report for that feildwork. I will do my best. Both writing it and my speach!
DeleteHi there, Haruka!
ReplyDeleteI see you fished while you were young. Must have been fun!
I have always wanted to try fishing. It looks very interesting and fun. I live in a dorm as well, and I am loving it. I have a lot of friends living in the same dorm as me, so no day is ever boring. If you get a chance, try to live in another dorm. It is really fun and worth it. I too, am not good in speaking to the audience. I get stage fright very easily, but you can do it! Hopefully, you won't have any stage fright when you present about volunteering. Good luck!
Hi, Garrett!
DeleteToday I submited request for another dorm. I do want to live there!
I want to speak what I want to tell audience! Thank you!!
