In this post, I would like to introduce about my club activity.
I belong to "Shimaekko". Shimaekko is environmental club. Shimaekko means Shimane and eco. When I entered university, my friends invited me to join Shimaekko. And I wanted volunteer work in university.
In spring, we learn about environment. We learn our town's environment to know where to clean. Then we share ideas. Also we enjoy festival. We carry Omikoshi on our shoulder. Omikoshi is Japanese traditional thing. It looks like a portable shrine.
In summer, we clean the beach, road, around the town and university once in a month. We pick up trash and litter. In the beach, there are so many trash cans, bottles, and wrack. We pick up all of them. After we clean the beach and road, I am tired but I feel happy and achievement. Because I can see beautiful sea!! I think it is important to keep beach clean.

Thank you for reading!

Hi Kaho! :) I truly enjoyed reading about your club activities. We have a lot in common, as I am also a part of a volunteer club at my school. I also am an environmental major at my school- so the environment is very important to me.
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that you are doing your part to take care of the Earth; to spread awareness and to make the world a little bit better than the way that we found it. I would love to participate in environmental club in Japan. Thanks for teaching me more about it! :D
