  1. Hi Masami,

My name is Quyen Tang, nice to meet you.

As far as festivals in Seattle goes... we have a big annual music festival in September called "Bumbershoot." It's really fun, it lasts 3 days and a lot of people come each year (around 100,000 I think). There are multiple concert stages that people can go to and see artists, comedians, dance groups, etc. perform. There's all kinds of music and all sorts of people so it's really fun to go!

Your hometown sounds like so much fun! Clams are one of my favorite foods actually so I was really excited to hear that your hometown has the best freshwater clams in all of Japan. I'm going to visit Japan this spring so I might have to come and visit your hometown for the food! Those sweets look super cute too!

  2. Hi Masami Ogura,

My name is Lindsey Carvalho. I really enjoyed reading about the festivals of your hometown! It definitely seems like a lively and fun place to be. Back home in Hawaii, we have Obon Dance festivals, where people usually wear yukata, dance, and eat andagi.

    Thanks for sharing!
